Karen Kyncl joined Copple Insurance Agency in 1986 and became a licensed agent in 1987, initially working in commercial insurance lines. Today, Karen is the agency’s claims manager and an account manager for personal lines, also handling bonds and flood insurance.
If you’ve met Karen, you know she approaches each workday with enthusiasm, ready to embrace new challenges with a positive attitude and a problem-solving mindset, to provide the best service for our customers.
As the claims manager, Karen acts as a bridge between the policyholder and the insurance company to help get their lives back to normal and make their lives good again. She is patient, kind, and supportive as she assists the clients in navigating the complexities of the claim process, which can be a very emotional and stressful time for our clients.
Karen’s expertise and commitment have made her an invaluable asset to our agency. She’s earned her CISR (Commercial Insurance Service Representative) and SCLA (Senior Claims Law Associate) and has worked alongside who she calls “two of the finest men in the insurance industry,” Ed Copple and Arnie Johansen. “They have been my greatest mentors, imparting valuable lessons in both insurance and professionalism,” she says.
Outside of her professional life, Karen and her husband, David, are proud parents of a son and daughter, Brian and Brittany. She’s also a doting grandmother to her grandson, David. Family is central to Karen’s life, and she treasures the time spent with them, whether it’s camping, attending Husker football games, traveling, or just hanging out.
